Skip Anderson trusted in the words of his best friend who said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
Skip’s faith in Jesus gave him great strength and comfort as he knew that death was not the end, but the beginning of a new life without suffering – a new life in the presence of God.
A man of many talents, Skip refused to accept mediocrity, but rather sought excellence in all that he did. From glass blowing to archery, to unparalleled jury-rigging skills, he was a true renaissance man. Despite his decline in health over the past 15 years, as a result of a rare genetic disease, Skip’s determination and drive found him hard at work, selflessly providing for his family until the very end.
Born May 27, 1949, Skip Anderson tenderly passed away on July 31, 2005, at the University of Washington Medical Center, having courageously undergone a dual lobe lung transplant. Skip’s 56 years of life, though brief, were filled with experiences, memories, and stories that far exceed his days. For that we are truly blessed, and grateful for the time the Lord allowed us to spend with this beautiful man.
Skip will be greatly missed by his wife of 31 years, Julianne, his children Isaac, Rachel, and Hilliary, his son-in-law Jeff Bundy, his parents Agnes and Floyd Ridout, his sisters Glenda Morris, and Sandy Harris, and his amazing friends who walked with Skip until the very end.
Come celebrate with us the life and laughter of Skip Anderson, who has passed from death to life, as he begins a new adventure in the eternal presence of his best friend, the creator of this world, Jesus Christ.
The memorial will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 6th, at Northlake Christian Church - 19029 North Rd, Bothell, WA 98012 --
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Skip Anderson’s name to the FFHM (orphanage in Mexico). -- P.0. Box 74000 San Clemente, CA 92673
